Madison Keys is a professional tennis player who is so far making a good name for herself. Although she only has a few titles to her name, she has distinguished herself by reaching the highest career ranking of No. 7 in 2016, reaching the semi-finals of the Australian Open in 2015, and the finals of the US Open in 2017.

US Open 2017 finalist, Madison Keys was born in Rock Island; one of the cities in Illinois on February 17, 1995, to Rick and Christine Keys, who were both practicing lawyers.
Her dad is an African-American who played for a Division II All-American college basketball team at Augustana College. In 1981, he would go on to graduate from John Marshall Law School Chicago and become a renowned attorney today specializing in criminal defense claims as well personal injury cases alike!
Her mother Christine, a white American, received her bachelor’s degree from Marycrest University and then went on to study law at De Paul University, graduating in 1991.
Of biracial ethnicity, Madison was born to an African American father, Rick Keys to an American mother, Christine Keys. That being said, Madison does not identify as white or African American as she does not want to be defined by her race.
