Iga Swiatek arrived fast. She won Roland Garros in 2020 at 19, and by 2022 she was No. 1 in the world, winning 37 matches in a row along the way. Her WTA biography counts six straight titles in that run, which ended with her second French Open.
Since then the trophies have kept coming at a pace few players have matched: four titles in Paris, the 2022 US Open, the 2023 WTA Finals and, in 2025, a Wimbledon final she won without dropping a game. She is 25 now, and the 2026 season was the first since 2021 in which she did not win a major.
Parents and family
Iga Swiatek's parents and sister
Iga Swiatek's father is Tomasz Swiatek, a former rower who competed for Poland at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. She has an older sister, whose tennis was the reason Iga started playing.
Tomasz Swiatek rowed in the men's quadruple sculls at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, a detail the WTA puts near the top of her official biography. An Olympic father explains a lot about the way she trains, including the routines, the physical work and a calm sense that a career is built over years, not weeks.
The tennis came from her sister. Swiatek's WTA profile says she started playing because her older sister played and she wanted to beat her, which is about as honest an origin story as any in the sport. Her mother is Dorota Swiatek, according to press profiles such as Tennis365 and Essentially Sports; her official biography does not name her. Reports about her mother's profession differ, so this page leaves it out, and the family has generally stayed out of the coverage around the player.
One more detail from the same biography is pleasingly specific. She likes rock music, with AC/DC and Pink Floyd named among her favorites. Not the soundtrack most people would guess for the most methodical player on the tour.
Is Iga Swiatek married?
"Iga Swiatek husband" is one of the most searched phrases about her, yet her official WTA biography mentions no husband or partner, and she has not made her private life part of her public profile. This page leaves it there.
Coaches
Iga Swiatek's coach: Francisco Roig
Francisco Roig, a former coach in Rafael Nadal's team, has coached Iga Swiatek since April 2026. Before him she worked with Wim Fissette, Tomasz Wiktorowski and Piotr Sierzputowski.

- Piotr SierzputowskiCoach, 2016 to 2021
Four head coaches in a decade is not a lot by tour standards, and each one lines up with a clear chapter. Piotr Sierzputowski took her from the juniors to the 2020 Roland Garros title. Tomasz Wiktorowski arrived at the end of 2021 and presided over the record-breaking 2022 season and two more French Opens.
Wim Fissette, from Belgium, joined in October 2024, and the partnership produced the 2025 Wimbledon title, her first on grass. They split in March 2026 after an early loss in Miami, and in April the WTA reported that Francisco Roig had joined her team.
Roig spent years in Rafael Nadal's coaching team, which made the hire easy to read, since Swiatek's results on clay have long invited comparisons with Nadal. Her WTA profile now lists him as her coach. The coach directory tracks these changes across the top of both tours.
The 2026 season
Iga Swiatek in 2026: one title and an injury-hit autumn
Swiatek won the Toronto title in August 2026, beating Elena Rybakina 6-2, 6-3 in the final, and had a 39-15 record when a left thigh injury forced her out of Ningbo in October.

By her standards 2026 was uneven. At the majors she reached the quarterfinals in Melbourne, then went out in the fourth round at Roland Garros, the third round at Wimbledon and the fourth round of the US Open. That is the first year without a Grand Slam title since 2021.
The bright spot came in Canada. Swiatek beat Rybakina 6-2, 6-3 in the Toronto final for her first title of the year, her 12th at WTA 1000 level according to the WTA. The autumn was cut short, as she played the Wuhan semifinal while hampered by a left thigh injury, lost it, and on October 20 withdrew from Ningbo.
Her ranking of No. 9 on November 2, 2026 feeds into the draw at the Australian Open in January, where seeds are set by the rankings.

Swiatek's career prize money of $48,139,729 puts her third on the WTA's all-time list, behind Serena Williams and Aryna Sabalenka. It is a gross figure, before tax and before the cost of a full team: coach, physio and fitness trainer, plus the travel for all of them.
Sponsors earn her more than the court does. Forbes put her total at $20.5 million for the twelve months before the 2026 US Open, with $15 million of it off court. Those are Forbes estimates, not audited figures, but they are the best public guide to what top players actually take in.
That is also why this page gives no single "net worth" number. Net worth would need her assets, investments, taxes and spending, none of which are public. The richest tennis players tracker sets her beside the other top earners on the same official basis.

Her record at Roland Garros stands at 43 wins and 4 losses. She won it in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024, beating Coco Gauff, Karolina Muchova and Jasmine Paolini in the last three finals. The US Open came in 2022 against Ons Jabeur, 6-2, 7-6(5). Every one of her Paris finals was on Court Philippe-Chatrier; the rest of the clay courts she has won on there are mapped in how many courts Roland Garros has.
Wimbledon took longer. Grass was the surface that most doubted her, and in 2025 she answered by beating Amanda Anisimova 6-0, 6-0 in the final, a scoreline almost never seen in a major final. The Australian Open is the one major missing; she has reached the semifinals twice, in 2022 and 2025.
Her busiest year remains 2022, with eight titles: Doha, Indian Wells, Miami, Stuttgart, Rome, Roland Garros, the US Open and San Diego. 2023 added six more, among them the WTA Finals, which she won without losing a match.
