Stuttgart Anastasia Sevastova took over Jelena Ostapenko

Latvian tennis player Anastasia Sevastova overcame the barrier of the first round of the tournament in Stuttgart, beating her compatriot Jelena Ostapenko – 6/2, 4/6, 6/0.

For 1 hour and 49 minutes of the match, the 13th racket of the world, 29-year-old Anastasia, recorded seven breaks and four aces, having made a mistake five times when serving. 21-year-old Ostapenko, who occupies the 29th place in the WTA rating, three times took the pitch of a rival and made six double faults.

Anastasia increased the gap in the personal meetings of athletes – 2: 0. In the second round of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix competition, Anastasia will fight either with Ukrainian Lesia Tsurenko or with German Laura Siegemund.
