Petra Kvitova won the competition in Sydney

The eighth racket of the world, Czech tennis player Petra Kvitova, defeated Australian Ashleigh Barty, who is 15th in the world ranking, in the final of Sydney International tournament – 1/6, 7/5, 7/6 (3).

For 2 hours and 19 minutes of the match, Petra made three aces and four breaks, having been mistaken 10 times when serving. Whereas Ashleigh filed through seven times and implemented six break points, making three double faults.

The score in personal meetings became 3:0 in Czech favor. This title was for Kvitova 26th in her career, bringing  $ 141,875 in prize money and 470 rating points.
