Ashleigh Barty was born April 24, 1996 in Ipswich, Australia, where she currently resides. Her father’s name is Robert and her mother is Josephine. Ashley has two sisters, Ali and Sarah. Barty started playing tennis at the age of five.
Ash began her professional career in 2010, appearing in the ITF competition in Australia. Two years later, Barty debuted in the main draw of three Grand Slam tournaments – the Australian Open, Roland Garros and Wimbledon.
In her spare time, the Australian enjoys fishing and reading books and likes to play video games.
