Indian Wells. Angelique Kerber was stronger than Venus Williams

The eighth racket of the world, German Angelique Kerber, beat American Venus Williams, occupying the 36th line of the WTA rating, with a score of 7/6 (3), 6/3 in the quarter-finals of the tournament in Indian Wells.

The match lasted 1 hour and 36 minutes. During this time, the 31-year-old Kerber completed two aces, twice made a mistake when serving and sold three break points, and the 38-year-old Williams srevedthrough, made one double mistake and made two breaks.

Now the score in personal meetings was 6: 3 in favor of the Germans. In the semifinals of the BNP Paribas Open competition, Kerber will cross the rackets with the Swiss Belinda Bencic.
