Angelique Kerber reached the semifinals of the tournament in Monterrey

The fifth racket of the world, German Angelique Kerber, beat Belgian Kirsten Flipkens, who occupies the 58th line of the WTA rating, with a score of 6/2, 6/4 in the quarterfinal of the tournament in Monterrey.

Tennis players spent on the court 1 hour and 6 minutes. During this time, 31-year-old Kerber completed three aces, made a mistake three times in filing and sold three break points, and 33-year-old Flipkens filed twice, made two double mistakes and did not make a single break.

Now the score in personal meetings was 4-0 in favor of the Germans. In the semifinals of the Abierto GNP Seguros competition, Kerber will cross the rackets with the Belarusian Victoria Azarenka.
