Wimbledon. Angelique Kerber successfully launched title defense

German tennis player Angelique Kerber overcame the barrier of the first round of Wimbledon, defeating her compatriot Tatiana Maria – 6/4, 6/3.

The match lasted 1 hour and 20 minutes. The fifth racket of the world, 31-year-old Angelique, sold seven break points and twice made a mistake when serving. Her age-mate Maria, who is on the 65th place in the world classification, took the opponent four times in a row and made one double mistake.
