The 43rd World No. Australian tennis player, Nick Kyrgios at the start of Wimbledon, defeated his compatriot Jordan Thompson, who is ranked 44th in the world ranking, – 7/6 (4), 3/6, 7/6 (10), 0/6, 6 /1.
For 3 hours and 26 minutes of the match, Nick made 23 aces and four breaks, making a mistake six times during the service. Whereas Jordan filed through 12 times and implemented seven break points, making three double faults.
Score in the personal meetings of opponents was 1-0 in favor of Kirgios.
In the second round of the “Slam” Nick will play either with the Japanese Yuichi Sugita, or with the Spaniard Rafael Nadal.
