Victoria Azarenka leaves the tournament in Rome

The 51st racket of the world, Belarusian Victoria Azarenka, in the quarterfinal of the competition Internazionali BNL d’Italia lost to the Czech Karolina Pliskova, the seventh world ranking, – 7/6 (5), 2/6, 2/6.

For 2 hours and 26 minutes of the match, Victoria made five aces and two breaks, making a mistake seven times when serving. Whereas Karolina filed 11 times and implemented six break points, making four double faults.

Score in the personal meetings, opponents became equal – 4: 4. In the semifinals of the tournament in Rome, Pliskova will play either with the Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic, or with the Greek woman Maria Sakkari.
