The fifth racket of the world, German tennis player Angelique Kerber, in the quarterfinals of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix competition was defeated by Dutchwoman Kiki Bertens, the seventh world ranking, – 3/6, 4/6.
For 1 hour and 15 minutes of the match, Angelique did not make aces or breaks, having made a mistake when serving only once. On account of Kiki – five aces, two breaks and two double faults.
Score in personal meetings of opponents was 3: 2 in favor of the Dutch. In the semifinals of the tournament in Stuttgart, Bertens will play with Czech Petra Kvitova.
