Stefanos Tsitsipas is a Greek tennis player who has been competing professionally since 2016. This season the Greek renewed his top position in the ATP ranking and now his best result is the third line in the ranking. Tsitsipas has collected seven ATP singles championships to date. In 2019, at the age of 19, this young and talented athlete was recognized as Greek Male Athlete of the Year.

Although he isn’t dating Maria Sakkari, Stefanos is in a relationship. He’s currently seeing Theodora Petalas. The first time they were seen together was on a vacation in 2020. When asked about whether or not he asked out Theodora for the first time they met, Stefanos responded that he was too nervous, but after seeing each other again afterwards, he had the confidence to ask her out.
When he was in New York City three years ago, Tsitsipas met his current partner Theodora. She was employed by a hospitality company at the time. Tsitsipas has said that she is a good influence on him, no matter how improbable it may sound.
Theodora was born in London in 1995, to a German mother and a Greek businessman father. She was a bridesmaid at the wedding of Prince Willem Alexander of the Netherlands when she was 9 years old. Theodora was a member and marketing manager for Habitas, a hospitality firm.
Theodora worked as a sales intern at Mary Kantrantzou and a PR intern for Oscar de la Renta. New York University gave her a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in project management and technology. Her family is descended from the royal house of the Netherlands through blood relationships.

In a Vogue interview, Tsitsipas said that Petalas helped him with his fashion. “My wardrobe was very weak, and I didn’t have a game there,” he recalled. “I wanted to start dressing up a little, so we tried to build an identity.” The pair went for earthy tones since nothing too bright. “I started spending more on clothes, and it’s shown me how beneficial it is for me,” he continued.”I’ve seen that transition help me feel better about myself.”

There have been numerous reports that Stefanos was dating his doubles partner, Maria Sakkari. On the court, Tsitsipas and Maria made a spectacular match. Rumors of them dating began when Tsitsipas planted a kiss on Maria after winning a game in an interview. “The kiss had no sexual connotation,” said Maria in an interview. One can’t be sure what the future holds in store for them.
Fans and the media were quick to pick up on the phrase “future,” wondering whether Maria might perceive them as a couple in the future. In 2021, they competed together at the Olympics. They weren’t able to bring any medals home for Greece, though.
