The Adelaide International is a series of tournaments ATP 250 and WTA 500 on the ATP and WTA tour that will take place on the hard courts of the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre in Adelaide, Australia.
Memorial Drive Park is not only known for hosting major international tennis tournaments, but it is also home to a wide range of courts for players of all levels. In 2019, the park underwent a full redevelopment that included the addition of 13 lawn courts, 11 hard courts, and 4 synthetic grass courts. The main show court has a seating capacity of 6,000.
The 2023 Adelaide International 1 is the third edition of the tournament for women and the second edition for men. It will take place from January 1 to 8, 2023, with the qualifying rounds being held on December 31, 2022. The tournament is followed a week later by the 2023 Adelaide International 2, which is a combined ATP Tour 250 and WTA 250 event.
ATP 250 Adelaide International 1 Prize Money
The prize money purse at the ATP Adelaide International 1 in Adelaide has seen a significant increase for the 2023 tennis season. The total prize money on offer has reached an all-time high of $642,735, which is a 54.21% increase from the previous year. The champion in Adelaide will receive just over 14% of that total – $94,560 if he wins the trophy. The runner-up will also receive a healthy payout, pocketing $55,035 for his efforts. There is a significant drop off in prize money after the semi-final stage, with the two losing players in that round taking home $32,150 each. Those eliminated in the quarter-finals will receive $18,175 for their efforts. First-round losers will walk away with $6,340.

ATP Adelaide International 1 Entry List Will Be Headed by Djokovic

Last year’s event was won by Gael Monfils, beating Karen Khachanov in the final. The French tennis player decided not to defend his title this year.
The ATP 250 Adelaide International 1 entry list has been announced and it includes some of the biggest names in tennis. Headlining the event are Novak Djokovic and Felix Auger-Aliassime. Also included in the field are former World No. 1 Daniil Medvedev, as well as current Top 10 player Andrey Rublev.
