Madrid. Elina Svitolina lost the 70th racket of the world

The sixth racket of the world, Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, lost to Frenchwoman Pauline Parmentier, who occupies 69th place in the WTA rating, with a 4/6, 6/7 (6) score at the start of the Mutua Madrid Open tournament.

The match lasted 1 hour and 38 minutes. During this time, the tennis players performed one ace each and made three double faults. In this case, 24-year-old Svitolina sold two break points, and 33-year-old Parmentier – three.

Earlier in personal meetings was 1: 1. Julia Putintseva from Kazakhstan will be the next opponent of Parmentier in Madrid.
