The Hobart International Tennis Centre is a first-class tennis facility with 6 hard courts with plexiglass surfaces, 7 synthetic courts, and 5 grass courts that meet the highest international standards. The new central court after reconstruction in 2011 is designed for 2800 seats.
The 2024 Hobart International is the 29th edition of the tournament for women. It will take place from 8 to 13 January 2024 for the women.

The prize money purse at the WTA Hobart International in Hobart has slightly increased for the 2024 tennis season. The total prize money came to – $267,082, up 3.00% from 2023. The champion in Hobart will receive just over 16% of that total – $35,250 if she wins the trophy. The runner-up will receive a small payout, pocketing $20,830 for her efforts. There is a significant drop off in prize money after the semi-final stage, with the two losing players in that round taking home $11,610 each. Those eliminated in the quarter-finals will receive $6,608 for their efforts. First-round losers will walk away with $2,890.

WTA Hobart International Entry List Will Be Headed by Elise Mertens
Dual Hobart champ Elise Mertens leads the draw as the top seed. But she’ll face a tough opening test against 2022 Australian Open finalist Danielle Collins.
“I’m happy to return to Hobart where I have great memories,” said Mertens. “I just hope to come back for many years.”
Aussie wildcards Daria Saville and Olivia Gadecki learned their first opponents too.
Saville meets Anna Blinkova, potentially facing 2019 Hobart winner Sofia Kenin next. Gadecki takes on fourth seed Xinyu Wang.
If she wins, Gadecki could clash with 2017 US Open champ Sloane Stephens second round. Stephens plays Xiyu Wang who had a strong Auckland run.
