Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov overcame the barrier of the second round of the competition in Halle, beating the German Jan-Lennard Struff – 6/3, 3/6, 6/4.
For 1 hour and 43 minutes of the match, the ninth racket of the world, 23-year-old Karen, made six aces and two breaks, making a mistake when serving once. 29-year-old Struff, who occupies the 35th place in the world classification, filed through 11 times and realized one break-point, making three double mistakes.

Previously, the players did not meet each other. In the quarter-finals of the Noventi Open competition, Khachanov will fight against the winner of the Italians’ game, Matteo Berrettini and Andreas Seppi.
