Fiona Ferro became the champion of the tournament in Lausanne

French tennis player Fiona Ferro won the competition in Lausanne, defeating her compatriot Alize Cornet – 6/1, 2/6, 6/1.

The match lasted 1 hour and 40 minutes. The 98th World No. 22-year-old Fiona sold seven break points and was not mistaken when serving. The 29-year-old Alize, who ranks 48th in the WTA ranking, took a rival’s serve four times, made three aces and two double faults. Previously¬† the athletes have not met.

The title won at the Ladies Open Lausanne was Ferro’s first in her career, bringing¬† $ 43,000 prize money and 280 rating points.
