German tennis player Angelique Kerber overcame the barrier of the third round of the tournament in Eastbourne, defeating Swede Rebecca Peterson – 7/6 (4), 6/0.
The match lasted 1 hour and 17 minutes. The fifth racket of the world, 31-year-old Angelique, made three breaks and two aces, having made a mistake once when serving. 23-year-old Peterson, who occupies 66th place in the world classification, made one ace and four double errors.
