Italian tennis player Camila Giorgi overcame the barrier of the first round of competitions in Sydney, beating Australian Ajla Tomljanovic in two sets, – 6/3, 6/3.
The match lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes. The 27th World No. 27, Camila, 27, made four breaks and two aces, making a double mistake when serving. 25-year-old Tomljanovic, who occupies the 45th place in the world classification, once took the opponent’s pitch, made two aces and six double faults.
Previously between the athletes have not met. In the second round of Sydney International, Giorgi will play against Angelique Kerber of Germany.
