The 37th racket of the world, Latvian tennis player Jelena Ostapenko, in the second round of the competition Nature Valley Classic defeated the British Johanna Konta, who occupies the 18th place in the world ranking – 6/3, 6/4.
For 1 hour 19 minutes of the match, Jelena made two aces and three breaks, mistaking the game eight times. While Johanna filed four times right through and implemented one break point, making one double mistake. Score in the personal meetings of opponents became equal – 2: 2.

In the quarterfinals of the tournament in Birmingham, Ostapenko will play either with Russian Margarita Gasparyan or with Croatian Petra Martic.
