Carlos proceeded to the Rio Open. The win at this tournament was his maiden Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) 500 title. He moved on to the Miami Open, where he made history again. His maiden Masters 1000 title made him the youngest male player to win the tournament.
A day after he clocked 19, Carlos defeated Rafael Nadal at the Madrid Open, becoming the first teenage player to beat him in a clay match. Truly a record breaker! He eventually won the tournament, again making him the youngest winner in the Madrid Open history.
While playing as a junior on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior Circuit, Carlos won two championships and had a high world ranking of No. 22. What an achievement! Virginia Garfia Alcaraz
Virginia Garfia is the mother of the popular tennis player. She is speculated to also be in her fifties as much is not revealed to the public about her and her life. She birthed three other kids aside from Carlos. He claims he is the softer one of his parents.
