British athlete Johanna Konta could not please her fans with new trophies this year. The pandemic has made serious changes in tennis life, most of the tournaments never took place, and not all tennis players will tune in for the rest of the tournaments.
Johanna Konta’s current coach is Dimitri Zavialoff
In November 2020, the BBC reported that Konta has resumed cooperation with French coach Dimitri Zavialoff.
Last year they were already working together and then Konta reached the semifinals of Roland Garros and the last eight at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open.
Their partnership ended in early 2020 when Dimitri Zavialoff decided to reduce the number of trips to tournaments.
Dimitri Zavialoff’s coaching career
Dimitri Zavialoff previously worked with Timea Bacsinszky and helped her get into the top 10 in 2016, also known as Stan Wawrinka‘s first coach.
In the future, he may not spend as much time on tours, and Dan Smethurst’s hitting partner is still part of the Konta team.
We wish success to Johanna in the new season.
Johanna Konta’s past coaches
In September, Konta broke up with Thomas Hogstedt, who is one of the famous coaches in the WTA Tour. Earlier Thomas Hogstedt worked with Maria Sharapova and Caroline Wozniacki.
“Whenever you get to know a coach you have to be open to seeing if it’s something that works for you but it just wasn’t something that worked for either of us,” Konta said. “Things have to match up, you have to be able to bring the best out of each other, and we just didn’t feel that it was going to be a good fit.” – said Konta in an interview with Skysports
