The second racket of the world, Australian Ashleigh Barty, beat Czech Barboraa Strycova, who is 51st in the WTA ranking, with a score of 6/4, 6/4 in the semi-final of the competition in Birmingham.
The match lasted 1 hour and 24 minutes. During this time, the 23-year-old Barty completed 11 aces, made a mistake once when serving and sold two break points, and the 33-year-old Strycova once filed right through, made two double mistakes and did not make a single break.
