German tennis player Angelique Kerber commented on her victory in the second round of the Mallorca tournament.
“It’s always hard to resist Sharapova, especially in the early stages. I think that the audience liked our match. We both did our best. It’s great to return to Mallorca. I really like playing here and I look forward to the next match.
I want to win as many victories as possible on the threshold of Wimbledon. She came here to compete with the strongest rivals. Of course, every won match adds me confidence. I need more game practice, but I feel that I am on the right track, ”the WTA press service quoted Kerber as saying.
