Eighth racket of the world, American tennis player Sloane Stephens, in the third round of the competition in Charleston, defeated Australian Ajla Tomljanovic, who occupies 39th place in the world ranking, – 4/6, 6/4, 6/4.
For 2 hours of the match, Sloane made two aces and six breaks, having been mistaken four times when serving. Whereas Ajla thrice thrown through three times and realized five break points, making one double mistake.
Through personal meetings, opponents became 5-0 in favor of an American. In the fourth round of the Volvo Car Open tournament Stevens will play with the American Madison Keys.
