The sixth racket of the world, German tennis player Angelique Kerber, in the quarterfinal of the competition Qatar Total Open defeated Czech Barbora Strycova, who is in 49th place in the world ranking, 1/6, 6/2, 7/6 (4).
For 2 hours and 7 minutes of the match Angelique made three aces and five breaks, mistaken three times when serving. Whereas Barbora doubled through and implemented five break-points, not allowing double mistakes. Through personal meetings, opponents became 8-1 in favor of the Germans.
In the semifinals of the Doha tournament, Kerber will play either with the Dutch Kiki Bertens, or with the Belgian Elise Mertens.
