Alex de Minaur is an Australian professional tennis player who achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 15 on 28 June 2021. He captured 1st title in his hometown of Sydney in 2019 and has won titles on 4 different continents.
Alex de Minaur has booked a place in the fourth round at Wimbledon for the first time in his career. On Monday, July 4, the Australian will face Cristian Garin in a bid to reach the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam for the second time in his career, having previously done so at the 2020 US Open.
At Wimbledon, the Australian was able to reach such a decisive stage thanks to the support of her girlfriend.
Alex de Minaur’s Girlfriend
The press first talked about Alex de Minaur’s romance with Katie Boulter at the Australian Open in 2021.
The 22-year-old tennis player is known for his modesty and even secrecy, so viewers of the season’s first Grand Slam tournament were quite surprised to see that he left the initials “K.T.” on the camera lens after his second-round match against Uruguayan Pablo Cuevas.
It’s an unofficial tradition that tennis players use this way to say hello to their family or significant other, thanking them for their support, so fans immediately speculated that de Minaur dedicated his victory to his girlfriend.
Spanish journalist Jose Morgado, host of a tennis podcast, was the first to speculate:
“Alex de Minaur left a message on the camera to a certain K.T. – that’s definitely Katie Boulter, our listeners know who that is.”
On International Women’s Day, the Aussie finally revealed everything. He released a photo of himself and Katie together, with a caption that read: “Happy International Women’s Day! First and foremost to that special girl.”
Katie currently ranks No. 118 in the singles rankings. The 25-year-old Leicester native is considered one of Britain’s most promising juniors, and has had a strong showing at junior level, receiving a lot of flattering reviews.

Interestingly, the tennis player could have chosen a completely different profession: Katie is not only musically gifted, but also boasts modeling data (for example, in 2018 she was invited to shoot in Vogue magazine). Apparently, however, an invitation to the national team, which she gratefully accepted, played a decisive role.
Katie Boulter also participated in Wimbledon 2022 and reached the 3rd round. The Brit couldn’t beat Frenchwoman Harmony Tan there, losing 1/6, 1/6.
“He is probably one of the hardest-working guys out there. I try to take a leaf out of his book because it really is impressive. I’m very lucky to be in the position I am, that I get to see it day in, day out.” -That’s how Katie Boulter supported her beloved.
Alex de Minaur’s Past Girlfriend
Alex De Minaur previously faced another tennis player, Anastasia Potapova of Russia. Potapova has one WTA trophy to her credit, which she won in 2022 in Istanbul. In February 2022, she was able to climb to a record 73rd WTA ranking, after a series of successful performances.
