Belarus Victoria Azarenka shared her impressions of the victory in the semifinals of the tournament in Monterrey.
“It’s just awesome. Very pleased with the level of my game. It was very important for me to feel that I can cope with the pressure in a fight with a rival of the highest class. Over the past couple of years I have not had so many matches. Therefore, I am so glad that was able to add in the course of the game and achieve victory.
At the moment I am again learning to make the right decisions, being under strong pressure. Need to constantly move forward. It is not easy to put everything together, but every time I get it all better. Perhaps the meeting with Kerber was one of the most stable this season. This year I already had fights when I acted at a good level, but this happened sporadically, ”the WTA press service quoted Kerber as saying.
