In the final competition in Pune, South African Kevin Anderson beat Croatian Ivo Karlovich with a score of 7/6 (4), 6/7 (2), 7/6 (5). It was only the fifth final of the ATP competition in ten years, where the outcome of the fight was decided in three tiebreaks. Earlier this happened in Chennai in 2012, in Atlanta 2013, in London in 2014 and Newport in 2016. Note that in Pune, Atlanta and Chennai the finalists did not make a single break.
