Romanian tennis player Simona Halep shared her impressions of the victory over Italian Jasmine Paolini in the second round of the tournament in Rome.
“At the start of the fight, I acted a little shy. In general, it was not easy for me to catch the rhythm during the whole meeting. However, the first matches always turn out to be hard.
Jasmine had a great shot both from the forward and backend. It was difficult to find the keys to her game, because before I had not had to confront her. I’m glad that I was able to achieve victory.
I had a feeling that I played with confidence in the key episodes. I wasn’t angry when some elements didn’t work out. I think that was the key to success,” WTA press service quotes Halep.
