American tennis player Serena Williams commented on her decision to withdraw from the tournament in Rome.
“I had to abandon the continuation of the struggle in local competitions due to pain in my left knee. Of course, I will miss the Italian fans very much. I will try to do everything possible to recover to the French Open,” the WTA press service quoted Williams as saying.
