The 68th world number one, Swiss tennis player Stan Wawrinka, defeated Canadian Denis Shapovalov, who ranks 25th in the world ranking, in the quarter finals of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament – 6/4, 7/6 (4).
For 1 hour and 29 minutes of the match, Stan made three aces and three breaks, never making a mistake when serving. Whereas Denis filed three times right through and realized two break points, making seven double faults.
Through personal meetings opponents became equal – 1: 1. In the semifinals of the tournament in Rotterdam, Wawrinka will play with Japanese Kei Nishikori.
