Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic broke the barrier of the 1/8 finals of the competition in Madrid, defeating Frenchman Jeremy Chardy – 6/1, 7/6 (2). The match lasted 1 hour and 25 minutes.
The first racket of the world, 31-year-old Novak, made two breaks and four aces, mistaken twice when serving. 32-year-old Jeremy, who occupies 47th place in the ATP ranking, made three aces and one double mistake.
