Novak Djokovic was born May 22, 1987 in Belgrade, Serbia. His father Srdjan is Serbian and his mother Dijana is Croatian. Novak has two younger brothers, Marko and Djordje, who are also engaged in professional tennis.
Now Novak lives in Monte Carlo (Monaco). He started his professional tennis career in 2003, winning his first ITF tournament in the same year. A year later Novak started on the ATP circuit.
His childhood idol is Pete Sampras. Djokovic is fond of yoga and charity, establishing his own foundation, the Novak Djokovic Foundation.
