Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic broke the barrier of the second round of the Monte Carlo tournament, beating the German Philipp Kohlschreiber – 6/3, 4/6, 6/4.
For 2 hours and 36 minutes of the match, the first racket of the world, 31-year-old Novak, made five breaks and one ace, making the wrong mistake eight times. The 35-year-old Kohlschreiber, who occupies the 40th place in the ATP ranking, took the opponent’s submission four times, made three aces and two double mistakes.
The Serb remains the leader in the personal meetings of the players – 9: 2. In the third round of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters competition, Djokovic will fight either with American Taylor Fritz or with Argentinean Diego Schwartzman.
