The first racket of the world, Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka, in the quarterfinal of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix competition defeated the Croatian Donna Vekic, who occupies the 25th place in the world ranking, 6/3, 4/6, 7/6 (4).
In the semifinals of the tournament in Stuttgart, Osaka will play either with the Estonian Anett Kontaveit, or with the Belarusian Victoria Azarenka.
