French tennis player Caroline Garcia overcame the barrier of the third round of the tournament in Miami, beating the German player Julia Goerges, – 6/0, 7/5.
For 1 hour and 20 minutes of the match, the 21st racket of the world, 25-year-old Caroline, made four breaks and seven aces, making a mistake once. 30-year-old Goerges, who ranks 15th in the WTA ranking, made five aces and one double mistake.
The Frenchwoman remains the leader in the personal meetings of the athletes – 3: 0. In the 1/8 finals of the Miami Open competition, Garcia will face off with the Czech Petra Kvitova.
