Czech tennis player Marketa Vondrousova overcame the barrier of the first round of competitions in Eastbourne, beating Chinese Zheng SaiSai, – 6/2, 6/3.
For 1 hour 38 minutes of the match, the 16th racket of the world, 19-year-old Market, made six breaks and one ace, mistaken three times when serving. 25-year-old Zheng SaiSai, who is 43rd in the WTA ranking, took the opponent’s pitch twice and made one double mistake. Previously between the athletes have not met.
In the second round of the Nature Valley International tournament, Vondrousova will play with the Belgian Elise Mertens.
