Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova broke the barrier of the first round of the tournament in St. Petersburg, beating the Australian representative Darya Gavrilova in two sets – 6/0, 6/4.
For 1 hour 47 minutes of the match, the 29th racket of the world, 31-year-old Maria, made five breaks and aces, making a mistake six times when serving. 24-year-old Gavrilova, occupying the 46th position in the world classification, once took the opponent’s supply and made three double mistakes.
