At the start of the Mallorca competition, 41st racket of the world, Belarusian tennis player Victoria Azarenka lost to Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia, who ranks 23rd in the world ranking, – 6/1, 4/6, 5/7.
For 2 hours of the match, Victoria made three aces and six breaks, mistaking nine times when filing. Whereas Caroline nodded nine times and implemented five break points, making two double faults. Through personal meetings, opponents became 3-0 in favor of the French.
In the second round of the Mallorca Open competition, Garcia will play with the winner of the match between Spaniard Paula Badosa and American Alison Riske.
