Kyle Edmund leaves the tournament in Munich

The 22nd racket of the world, Briton Kyle Edmund, lost to American Denis Kudla, who occupies the 82nd line of the ATP rating, with a 4/6, 3/6 score at the start of the Munich tournament.

The match lasted 1 hour and 7 minutes. During this time, the 24-year-old Edmund performed five aces, twice made a mistake when serving and did not realize a single break point, and the 26-year-old Kudla served up eight times, made one double mistake and made three breaks.

This was the first official meeting of athletes. In the second round of the BMW Open competition, Kudla will play with Italian Matteo Berrettini.
