Dutch tennis player Kiki Bertens overcame the barrier of the second round of competitions in Charleston, beating the Italian Martina Trevisan – 6/2, 6/1.
The match lasted 59 minutes. The sixth WTA rating number, 27-year-old Kiki, recorded six breaks and two aces. 25-year-old Trevisan, who occupies the 159th place in the world classification, once took the opponent’s supply and made two double mistakes.
Previously between the athletes have not met. In a duel for reaching the quarterfinals of the Volvo Car Open tournament, Bertens will fight German game winner Andrea Petkovic and Greek Maria Sakkari.
