Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov overcame the barrier of the first round of the competition in Halle, beating Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, – 7/6 (5), 6/4.
The match lasted 1 hour and 31 minutes. The ninth number of the ATP rating, 23-year-old Karen, recorded two breaks and ten aces, making one mistake when serving. 19-year-old Kechamanovich, who occupies the 82nd position in the world classification, once took the opponent’s serve, made two aces and one double mistake. Previously, players have not met each other.
In the second round of the Halle Open tournament, Khachanov will play either with German Jan-Lennard Struff or with Serb Laslo Djere.
