Gael Monfils leaves competition in Galle

The 16th world number one, Frenchman Gael Monfils, lost to his compatriot Pierre-Hugues Herbert, who occupies the 43rd line of the ATP rating, with a score of 6/7 (6), 4/6 at the start of the tournament in Halle.

The match lasted 1 hour and 40 minutes. During this time, the 32-year-old Monfils completed five aces, made a mistake eight times in filing and realized one break point, and the 28-year-old Erber filed right through four times, made four double mistakes and made two breaks.
