Frances Tiafoe Career
The athlete was born on January 20, 98 in the American city of Maryland. Francis’ father worked as a handyman and security guard at the tennis center, so the boy had the opportunity to play and practice on real courts. At the age of five, Frances was enrolled in that academy and began serious tennis lessons.
At the adult level, Frances has been competing since the age of sixteen. He first took part in the ATP series championship where he was eliminated in the first round. In 2019, Frances reached the quarterfinals of grand slam tournaments for the first time. At the Australian Open, Tiafoe defeated strong opponents from the top 30 of the ATP, but lost to Spaniard Rafael Nadal.
The next season brought another win for the American at the Challenger in Parma, where Frances outlasted Salvatore Caruso in three sets.
