The Firenze Open also known as UniCredit Firenze Open for sponsorship purposes is a professional tennis tournament that will be played on hard courts at the Palazzo Wanny in Florence, Italy. Palazzo Wanny is a state-of-the-art multi-purpose and multi-social sports facility capable of hosting free and organized sports practice, high-level and grassroots activities. The facility consists of two parts: the palasport and the subsidiary facility. The palasport, with a maximum capacity of 5,000 seats, is equipped with retractable stands, making the space flexible and functional for hosting international sporting events and extra-sports activities. The subsidiary facility, adjacent to the sports hall, includes a gymnasium for training, a wellness room, a physiotherapy center, the office facility and a 300-seat convention hall.
The event is scheduled to take place between October 10 and October 16, 2022. The tournament features a singles draw of 28 players and a doubles draw of 16 teams. It is currently part of the ATP Tour and is classified as a ATP 250 event.
It’s the first edition of this tournament now, so we don’t have a defending champion. The tournament will feature many of the top male tennis players in the world and is sure to be an exciting event for both fans and players alike. Who will take home the trophy this year?
