Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina commented on her victory in a tournament in Strasbourg.
“The fact that I managed to take the starting game of the decisive game gave me confidence to return to the game. In the second set everything was almost unambiguous, and the winning game in the third game gave me hope and better feelings. It was important for me to gather again and return to the game. It was a positive moment for me.
It wasn’t easy to start the match two hours later because of rain, but the conditions were the same for everyone, it was necessary to adapt quickly. It was important to come out and show your game without thinking too much about the delay. Usually tournaments are held in hot weather; we were just happy to be able to finish the tournament today. We were lucky that we were able to play. There were absolutely not the conditions that we expected, but I managed to cope with them.
