Dutch tennis player Kiki Bertens overcame the barrier of the second round of the Doha tournament, beating Spaniard Carla Suarez Navarro in three sets, – 2/6, 6/1, 6/1.
The match lasted 1 hour and 24 minutes. The eighth racket of the world, 27-year-old Kiki, recorded five breaks and aces, making a mistake five times when serving. 30-year-old Suarez Navarro, who occupies the 26th place in the world classification, twice took delivery of a rival, made one ace and two double mistakes.
The Dutchwoman has reduced the gap in the personal meetings of athletes – 1: 2. In the quarterfinals of the Qatar Total Open competition, Bertens will play with Elise Mertens.
