Daniil Medvedev successfully launched in London

The 13th World Player, Russian Daniil Medvedev, outplayed Spaniard Fernando Verdasco, who is ranked 37th on the ATP, with a score of 6/2, 6/4 at the start of the tournament in London.

The meeting lasted 1 hour and 10 minutes. During this time, the 23-year-old Medvedev performed six aces, made a mistake when serving and sold three break points, and the 35-year-old Verdasco filed a full seven times, made six double faults and did not make a single break.

Now the score in personal meetings was 3: 1 in favor of the Russians. Medvedev’s next opponent in the Fever-Tree Championships competition will be Lucas Puille, a Frenchman, or Briton Jay Clarke.
