Croatian tennis player Donna Vekic broke the barrier of the quarter finals of the tournament in Brisbane, beating Aliaksandra Sasnovich from Belarus in two sets, – 6/2, 6/0. For 56 minutes of the match, the 34th World No. 22, Donna, 22, made five breaks and three aces, making a mistake once. 24-year-old Sasnovich, occupying the 30th place in the world classification, completed two aces and did not make double mistakes. Croatian increased the lead in personal meetings of athletes – 3: 0. In the semifinals of the Brisbane International competition, Vekic will play either with the Czech Karolina Pliskova or with Ajla Tomljanovic from Australia.
